What is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right

Genuine and true Christianity is one of the most unpopular religions in the world and why is this so?

Christ Himself is the most spoken about man and yet He is the least liked of men among all the others?

The true message of Christianity is the most offensive of all others and why?

These are valid questions that need to be addressed in our midst tonight.

The truth is that although many claim to be Christians, yet in a close up examination they are found nothing but a hypocrite and a liar.

The Lord Jesus Who is The Truth knows all those who seek Him in a diligent manner. He understood one thing that His mission and the mission of His true followers would never be a popular message, since it declares war against men’s natural lives.

Many in their quest for truth find it out that the real truth is an unpopular message.

Therefore the divine eyes of God is searching to find those who would look for the real seekers of this truth and is delighted in finding them faithful to it’s hidden, yet awesome reality.

We all fight to take the Kingdom message by force and the violent in the spirit will take the Kingdom by violent force of pursuing the unpopular truth of heaven while living right here on earth.

Christianity has been the most persecuted faith and it’s truth was always resisted by the majority.

It is rejected because it is a declaration of another form of kingdom that is in complete opposition to the natural kingdom, where our natural life is driven from.

It is an opposing message, because in it’s core it demands an end to our natural life. It speaks a death sentence to our carnal earthly appetites of this lower existance called life. This the very reason that it attracts hostility to it’s message of redemption offered from heaven brought forth to us in His Son Jesus. This is why all the time when He was offering them comforts of this life he was popular, but as His demands for discipleship were made known only twelve remained at His presence.

You can not fathom how I get irritated, when John 10:10 is misquoted by even so called learned. It is as though a whole new gospel is being preached, which denies it’s heavenly demands of self denial and embracing the cross instead.

Men of this earth love the life of self and to deny it’s rights is a declaration of war in the soul of such men. Since in the life of the flesh or this world Satan has it’s power and to release it to God is a higher demand.

Some like Apostle Peter being divinely chosen were zealous at times just like when he stepped out of the boat trying in his flesh to live on the supernatural realm walking by faith, yet he too realized soon that without the Lord’s help and his own eyes being fixed on Him in this world it is almost impossible to fulfill the heavens demands.

He understood that salvation of the soul where the natural life is, must be accomplished through many test’s of faith and even then it is grace offered to the very few elect.

In Matthew 16:21-28 verses Jesus emphasized very plainly that in order to live to see the heavens kingdom come physically on earth, a complete abandonment of soulish life is a must. This made the message of Christianity a very unpopular one. In the natural no one would go willingly to suffer pain and death, since that is the declaration of war against the life in the natural, unless they have understood it’s truth through Spirit’s revelation.

This battle in the spirit realm is called the spiritual warfare between the two kingdom of the natural and the heavenly kingdom, and it’s heroes need to prepare to say no to their carnal desires, even the best of them.

Here is where the opposition is very genuine and the popularity of the message declines to none in many circles.

Jesus stayed on earth an extra 40 days in a glorified body to teach His own the validity of the unseen Kingdom and it’s mandate on His followers and right before He left for Heaven He asked them to tarry in Jerusalem for the Promised Holy Spirit’s baptism to accomplish this task in His own, of whom 120 only were the recipient of such dunemous or power.

In Matthew 16:22 Peter was speaking of his natural life trying to prevent heavens demands, not knowing one day the same was awaiting him to bring him unto glory.

Yes to the unregenerate or to the babe it is a very unpopular message.

To many this message of self denial is a tremendous violent demand and even at times to us, because it causes disturbance when it demands to forgive, when our flesh says no or to love when our natural disposition says never. This is why to many it is not an easy message to embrace.

It is asking us to give up our carnal rights to things that gives our sinful nature comfort, especially when it comes to physically abandon our body for death.

This is where many of us stumble. It truly frightens me when today in the beginning days of 2010 I hear messages from so called Christian pulpits that encourage smooth saying in the place of the true gospel of our Lord. Where psychology is being preached instead of the true word of God. Many even pervert the truth to make it suitable to the appetite of the congregant to keep them happy and secure in their seats bound to perdition.

No true prophet or Apostle had the mega congregations of those who are only being fed the self improvement messages. None of the true called ever failed to recognize the message of suffering and the cross. Even Pharisees like Nicodimus were awakened by the Spirit of the Lord to comprehend the mission of their Messiah on His road to Calvary carrying His cross.

In Matthew 16:27 Jesus properly appropriates the true righteous and their reward to the end of ages and His second coming, so that they too could see that their sacrificial acts of faithfulness would one day be rewarded, so that they would not loose heart, but it was never a message of comfort or earthly prosperity, but of trials and testing of their heavenly prospective here and that in action. It was never like the prophets of our own day that speak only encouragement and seldom the truth.

It is just a perverted truth in some circles.

Today many are only searching to hear an encouraging word to tickle our flesh, when truly we need the truth. I am not saying at all that we do not need encouragement, God forbid, since I need it every day myself. But I mean a word that is not the truth at all. The prophecies of the modern western church is always directed to nurture the flesh and not the spirit of men. God forbid if any prophet speaks a hard word all would mark him as a false prophet where the true prophet is always despised by the church. why because the church despises the truth and calls it unpopular.

Let us look at 2 chronicle the 18th chapter the 12th verse, how Micaiah is being asked to only speak encouragement with the four hundred other so called prophets, where later on the King Himself demands the truth knowing this man could not speak what others would. Yes he eventually spoke the truth that saved Jehoshaphat’s life upon admittance of his fault and his cry to the Lord for forgiveness.

The same was with Jesus who spoke to Pontius Pilot in his demand for the truth. It is the same with us who really have understood the truth of the Christian gospel, that though it offers us eternal reconciliation with God and life from death, yet it has this demand that we too love it’s price that the Lord paid for us. It is to be conformed to His death, so that we could rise in the likeness of His resurrection.

Prophets like Agabus who spoke God’s oracles in Acts 21 verses 8 through 14 to Apostle Paul were rejected by those around Paul, yet we see Apostle Paul who welcomed the truth in it’s entirety and became the heirs of righteousness of faith in action.

May we receive grace. May I receive grace today to stand in the truth uncompromised no matter how unpopular I or the message preached through me gets as the day is approaching.
