The immutable evidence

11

The scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the corner stone and the builders rejected this immutable fact of their faith.

Who were the builders? And how did they reject their only corner stone?

God had chosen a nation among all peoples of the world to reveal His righteousness to them and the very same people rejected this righteousness by denying all that was written in their law and the prophets about the essence of their faith. “The Resurrected Messiah”

The Pharisees took their own commands and wrapped it around their human traditions, yet Sadducees totally rejected the hope of their righteousness, which was the resurrection from the dead. To this end they both became dull in regards to the truth by the stubbornness’s of their own hearts.

In Matthew chapter 21 verses 33 to 44 we read how the Lord addressed His rejection by the elders of the house of Israel and soon in another place we see the Lord cursing the fig tree which to some is the symbol of Israel’s unfruitful temple worship. In Matthew 21 verses 42 and 44 He said “Therefore I say to you the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruit of it. And whoever falls on this will be broken; but whoever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” to human’s naked eye this kind of proclamation sounded very abrupt and harsh, but to the eyes of wise these were the very words of God who wanted His Son to be glorified among His own in seeing their lives changed for the Kingdom, and that the Lord of their glory would be accepted for Who He was. So that greatest purposes of God would be manifested in their lives and others whom He had called from the nations, whom He had predestined to His own glory.

He soon took the very essence of their faith and rebuked them for an empty religion full of men’s traditions and started rebuking the marketers within the temple who had given the purposes of God a much defiled purpose.

What was meant for good had become a den of robbers. The Lord expected to find faith, yet beside the remnant elect the rest were defiled by traditions of men. He was the resurrection and life, yet Israel had turned away from the purposes of their faith, that is why God their God had given them over to a debased mind to reject the truth for a lie, and the scripture in Matthew 24:42 says it was the Lord’s doing and it was marvelous in our eyes.

The entire good news of the Kingdom of God is based on the reality of His resurrection from the dead.

Psalm 16 verses 9 through 11 spoke of His awesome resurrection, yet they were blinded to it by their hardness of heart.

The purpose of the Kingdom of God was to bring restorative grace to men by the power of God’s resurrecting every deadness in fallen human lives, and man’s refusal for the truth has hardened their heart. Jesus our Redeemer repeatedly spoke of His resurrection on the third day, but even His own disciples were at first blinded to its truth. The empty tomb was the evidence of His power of life from death and it was rejected by some even in His circle of friends. All four gospels speak very specifically of the details of the resurrection of Christ and in all we see many were eye witnesses and then bribed to stay silent. Some we see climbing with Him on the mountain and yet failed to believe Him in His resurrection and others on their road to despair rejected the truth.

Yet He walking alongside of them unveiled the scriptures for them and breaking bread with them opened up their minds to see Him in His resurrection.

The New Covenant Scriptures says in Matthew 27:52-53 that, upon His death the power of death over the saints who were in graves was broken and graves were opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised and coming out of the graves after His resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. What was this power that went beyond the graves to rise up bodies of fallen saints to make them a witness? How far can this power go today? You know the greatest weapon of a dead religion is its lack of power. On God’s side all matters has been settled from eternity past, yet it is the stubbornness of man’s rebellion that rejects God’s power to work in his heart.

God has left us an immutable evidence of His great kindness to men through resurrection of the dead, yet it is our own stubbornness and sin that has stopped this power to work in our lives.

Appearing to some He commanded them to trust in Him for eternal life and He left them the great commission. To others He rebuked their unbeleif in Him, yet some He gave the promise of His Holy Spirit’s power to change lives. All this in a simple plea to turn away from their hardness of heart. Today I am very saddened by this fact that 1976 years later Christ and His power of resurrection has become a tradition kept by the nations once a year. He is being blasphemed by His own in turning away from daily obedience, yet is celebrated by us on ritualistic ways once or twice a year. Church buildings get filed twice a year to be defiled by the hypocrisies of men who exchange His glory with a religion with no substance.

The Bible says the years of ignorance has past and the Lord wants us all to repent in these last days. He wants to be real in our lives at all times not once or twice a year.

His resurrection must mean to us more than an event celebrated once a year as a ritualistic act of religious righteousness, but a hard reality in our everyday lives. He is the Rabboni whom Mary Magdalene called. He is still the teacher of the blind and restorer of life to them who believe in His resurrection power daily. Yes by this I do not reject the obstacles of our race called faith, but in it all the power of His resurrection is the one who fights against them all.

We do not want to be the second nation who are near to be cursed as the book of Hebrews chapters 6:8 says full of thorns and briers whose end is to be burned. An empty religion void of the power of resurrection has such an end attached to it. These warnings should be enough to awaken us Church.

Let us stop doing our own pleasures on His Sabbaths, meaning let us stop living for ourselves and come here and lie to each other and God.

By our mouth we proclaim our devotion to Him, yet with our actions we reject Him like Israel did.

His resurrection is a sure reality of our own spiritual identity and not a feast to be celebrated once a year. To the early Church it was the essence of their daily lives. In the acts of the apostles you never see the apostles mentioning anywhere or in the New Covenant scripture where day gathered to celebrate this day once a year. This was their “The Immutable Evidence” of their daily pilgrimage on earth. Paul deeply expresses its truth in explaining the meaning of the communion table. A remembrance Paul says, and hat every time we gather not once a year.  Oh yes it is good to remember the very Sunday Nineteen hundred seventy six years ago He stepped out of His grave alive, yet has this reality touched every area of our lives on day to day basis?

Is His power of resurrection working in us to resurrect all the deadness in our lives?

Are we truly living in the hope of our future state of resurrection?
