Seeing through the brightness Of His light

322

Seeing through brightness of His light is the subject of our meditation today.

When the Lord our God found one man whom He could confine the heavenly truth of His eternal plan and purpose, He revealed His Son in Him and that man’s name is Avram who later on was called Avraham (Abraham).

This is the man I want to speak about this day.

The Bible calls him the father of all faithful and a man who saw through the brightness of His glory the dimension that was rejected by majority.

The Bible in the New Covenant writings of Hebrews 11:10 says “For Abraham waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder or (Architect) and maker is God.

This very basic principal of faith in him was what God saw valuable to call him the friend of God and father of all those who would believe.

Avraham or Abraham was a man who saw the eternal Son of God through faith and kissed Him though faith. In John chapter eight, Jesus Christ is arguing with the Jews who claim to have faith and were calling Avraham their father. He reprimanded them by saying to them if Avraham was your father, you would have known me. What an opposition to their blindness of the revealed truth in Himself. He even continued to tell them that, Avraham saw my days, and by this comment He brought a deeper conviction of their hypocrisy. All this because their claims were all based on their own deceptive motives of their wicked hearts. None of them had basically understood the revelation of God in Christ as Avraham did. They claimed to be his heirs, yet they refused to hear what the Lord was saying to them in him.

Abraham was looking for A City and one that had foundations, but they saw their temporary lives as their city of dwelling.

Avraham had embraced the beloved eternal immortal promised Child of God, when he received Isaac back from the dead. God made Him see and embrace the birth, death and resurrection of His own Beloved Son. In this His servant Avraham became a friend with God, since he too was willing to go through the same experiences of the new birth by faith and be called righteous and then agreed to go through many deaths and resurrections, so that his eyes would see through God’s light of His own glory. The heavenly and divine nature was imparted to Him by God for him to take his eyes from the temporary state of this short lived life on earth. I trust Abraham’s journey of faith on earth was and is a great lesson to all of us in Christ. He was assured through his own faith on God’s faithfulness that this life here on earth is only a preparation for the next. This is why he looked heavenward and was seeking a city with true foundations.

In Genesis chapter 12 when The Lord God is calling him out to leave the Ur of Chaldeans, he had a head start in his faith walk. It all began there. He basically had his first experience in trusting God within the unknown. He had to trust God with leaving all his familiar territories and walk into an unknown zone. Just like Apostle Peter who decided to leave the comfort of the boat they were all in by walking into the waters. These were men who put examples   of righteous obedience before God and His people. By their lives they proved they were sojourners on this earth. They lived in tents, refusing the comforts of custom build houses. By their choices they supported their claims received from God through faith. That is why the Lord is not ashamed to call them His friend. In whom He began to reveal Himself.

These are men whom God chose to reveal His plan and purposes.

It was a man like Avraham with a heavenly perspective who were able to recognize the Christophany of theSon of God as Melchizedek and were able to give the thies of all he had to Him and, by doing this  he was able to receive his priestly blessing from the eternal and immortal Son of God.

Today many refuse to understand the principal of giving the ten percent or more of their income to God by bringing them to the spiritual Levites, because they are yet to understand the principals of their confessed faith.

Today many in Church claim the prosperity of Abraham’s life, not realizing its principals through which God was prospering Him. We are taught by men to give our 10 percent to God without yet helping them to seek the righteousness that comes by faith in God and His eternal city that holds foundations.

Bunch of carnal Christians are naming it and claiming it, yet not receiving it since they would spend it on their earthly appetites of their carnal desires.

People whose faith ends on this side of heaven want things that only could be theirs if they were waiting for a more excellent dwelling place in Heaven.

Abraham in his eternal foresight of heaven saw the permanent dwelling of men and the heavenly temple, therefore God was not afraid to bless him on this side too.

Yes he was the example of the perfect father on this side of heaven in the sinful flesh.

His decisions for his family began to form themselves in the view of heaven.

He chose to obey God by sending Ishmael and Hagar on their Journey to the wilderness by allowing them to experience God in their wilderness, without his human provision going with them.

Ishmael and Hagar were to be visited by the Lord’s Angel themselves and through this they too would have a heavenly prospective of seeing the well unveiled in their journey.

It was only logical and earthly to send them with plenty of provision, but that would hinder their trust and faith in the heavenly realm. This was the greatness of Abraham’s faith. He allowed others to experience God for themselves, since He was assured of the permanence of the heavenly city waiting for them. As a rich man he could supply more than they ever needed, yet he was spiritually obedient to His God to not allow them to miss heaven’s best for them.

It was the same with Abraham and Isaac and the sacrificial testing he went through with the lad. The Lord had given Avraham spiritual eyes to see through the brightness of His Light who is Christ.

Abraham also being a man of peace he was a man digging many wells and erecting several altars to God, and in all these he only would wait for a better home in heaven. He was able to stand by any well and drink from it as though he was drinking from Him who was the eternal Rock. He after meeting Melchizedek the Prince of Peace knew that His inner peace with God was the essential element of his journey on earth. He was an earthly perfect father. The Lord fortified him into a man whose soul would delight in a vision of the city with foundations, since he very well knew that on this side of heaven nothing has remaining foundations.

Sarah his wife too one day would die and a woman name Ketorah would replace her. His eyes one day would give up on him and his earthly wealth was going to be left to his children. He knew nothing in this life is permanent and all is building on sinking sand.

This is why Jesus said to those in John chapter 8 who would say their father is Avraham, “ If you were Abraham’s Children, you would do  the works of Abraham” Jesus said, “But you want to kill Me”.

This by itself proved their father was the Devil and they were doing his works. Here is our test in this father’s day. Who do we first proclaim to be our father? our earthly dad’s? yes and more so the One who is in heaven. If we really love our heavenly Father we then would keep His commandments through Christ in respecting and honoring our earthly fathers also. As the 12 year old Jesus went back from Jerusalem to live obediently to Joseph and Mary until His time fully had come to leave home, we too will go back in the obedience of our heavenly Father and submit to our earthly fathers.

Here is wisdom. Wisdom is to see this life through the brightness of His Light who is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
