Receiving Christ as our reconciliation

He is the perfect mediator who brings us to our greatest Shield and eternal inheritance with God.
In such discovery Paul spoke to the straying believers in Galatia the following words.
“For I through the Law died to The Law that I might live to God.”
Galatians 319
Through the Law Paul received a consciousness of sin, but the law gave no power to overcome sin, therefore he turned from the Law as a means of acceptance with God.
Upon a revelation from God Apostle Paul completely saw the eternal purpose of the Law and all its holy commandments that they were to bring us to Christ. This revelation made Paul a free man and through this he preached the gospel of peace and forgiveness to the Jew first and then to the goyim or gentiles.
This freedom is what made man free from the bondage of rules and regulations, through which men were in the slavery of sin.
Christ is the end of the law.
This means through the law we died to its demands, since its demands were to powerful to help us to live and obey its requirements. This revelation caused a spiritual death to take place worst than the original sin through Adam’s transgression, yet this very thing introduced us to Christ who by His cross and resurrection gave us hope for eternal reconciliation.
The story of the stoning of the woman caught in the act of adultery is a great personification of such truth. The Law and its heavy demands required the sinner to die, yet a higher Law of rightousness called faith in Christ Jesus reckoned the guilty justified and free from all accusations.
The woman caught in adultery could be seen as the Old Covenant bride of Yahweh who was caught by its own members in violating the righteous commandments of the Law, therefore the accusing members left the scene one by one being convicted of their own adulterous status when they stood convicted by a powerless Law to justify them in their own sin.
The members of the Old Covenant community stood before Christ convicted and were guilty before a higher standard of righteousness completely unknown to them.
Man in his sinful state of Adamic first death was already separated from God’s righteous standing and The law made this separation worst, since the Law was the perfection of God and the standard of His holiness apart from sin. Yet through Christ Jesus a perfect mediator man was reconciled to God. Paul in his letter to the Galatians makes a very great comment that a mediator is not working only for one side, but is a representative of the both parties in a neutral sense. With this He becomes the perfect mediator and judgment was given in the hands of this perfect mediator also.
Therefore the accusers of the adulterous woman found no grounds to perform justice, since they remained in their sinful state as their name was only accusers with no personal right for justification of a higher category called divine justice through faith in the only just One.
This is why they had no right to judge.
Apostle Paul being enlightened through such spiritual insight is delivering his word to the Colossians Church also and tells them that the man made laws concerning the flesh stand powerless in regards to help men with the indulgences of the same flesh. Basically he rebukes those in the Church who had left Christ’s righteousness and had fallen back into human rules and regulations calling them mere man made laws of abstinence from fleshly things, which could not have help men not to live in sin. In other words to abstain from sin through more regulations of human wisdom would have entangled them even further, instead of bringing them freedom. The more the law increases thee more lawlessness is promoted. This is why the gospel of the Lord is the power of His Holy Spirit working in us, and not the demands of a perfect performance.
The demand of perfect performance is only obtained through the working of His Spirit.
This why in John chapter 20 when the Lord appeared to His own in His resurrection in commissioning them He breathed on them and said receive the Holy Spirit and immediately gave them greatest commission of all and that was the following words in John 20:23 “ If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you retain the sins of any they are retained”. What do you think He said to them by these words Church?
This commission of Christ Yeshua our Lord in these few words are many times miss understood by the New Covenant Church in general terms.
It is always thought that if men retain personal sins of men they will not be forgiven them, yet the Lord was speaking of a much greater truth.
He was speaking of the preaching of the gospel being the only means to break the condemnation of the Old Covenant Law.
The real forgiveness is available through the power of the resurrection of Christ. This is the power through which men are eternally released from the condemnation of Hell and are set free to live a victorious life while on earth. Forgiveness is the remissions of sins, which is greatest news ever brought to men. This is the gospel of Christ. In the power of forgiveness brought by the Holy Spirit men are freed from their eternal prison sentence of death, and it is by faith in Christ that this deliverance from torment is available to men.
This is why I believe the greatest sin is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, since it is the denial of the power of God in restoration of all things through Christ’s atoning death and resurrection.
This is why as Christ ambassadors of peace we have a commission to preach the gospel of forgiveness to the poor, meaning to the called according to His election of grace.
It is by the power of this forgiveness that men are freed from their addictions and are set free to do the will of their Heavenly Father on earth. Forgiveness is first manifested by the breaking of the chains of our eternal imprisonment in Hell and the Lake of Fire, and then it is the power working in us that releases us from all earthly entanglement of the flesh. It is the power of the Holy Spirit working to cleanse us from the effects of sin while on earth, and this is available through acknowledging Christ ‘s redeeming work on the cross in the heart..
Although a constant co-operation with this power of the resurrection is needed for all restoration to be completed in one’s life, but the initial step is to acknowledge our state of depravity and powerlessness in order to have this mystery work in us successfully.
Forgiveness is a very strong spiritual truth that embodies itself in the finished work of Christ on the cross and completed by His resurrection power from the dead. Finally Christ being the vine and the Father being the vinedresser are at work in the lives of all those who would acknowledge Him as the only way to this process. No amount of human understanding of the word of God or any amount of human efforts can ever produce, what God only could. Thepower of the gospel through work of the Holy Spirit is what can make us walk in fruit producing. First in our own lives and then in the lives of those around us. Many time our carnal nature tries very hard to produce fruit and it is there that God stands opposing to our efforts, since this is contradicting to what grace has come to do in us.
Yes as Apostle Paul said.. I through the Law died to it so that I can live to God.
This means again no amount of our own efforts can produce the fruit of Spirit in us. Consider the word Spirit, meaning the Holy Spirit.
The singling out of the word Spirit means it is God the Holy Spirit who has now the right of the way to accomplish the task of God’s perfecting act in us and not ourselves. To us remain the continual co-operation with Him in living a life in the Spirit. To avoid a U Turn back to our aimless efforts to please God in our on strength. God has pronounced a curse on those efforts, since it is exalting the fallen nature of Adam in all its depravity. Why since none of the fruit expected to be seen in us is a byproduct of our own efforts. Here is a common ground of confusion to many of us, since we all like to earn our way through, even in producing what only God could.
He the Spirit of God opposes us to show us unless you learn to yield to me My work cannot be produced in you. That is why the Bible says The Fruit of the Spirit meaning the Fruit of The Holy Spirit in singular is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, Against such there is no law.
Why no Law? Since none of these could be truly and genuinely produced by human efforts through flesh.
These are His fruit and not man’s accomplishments.
