Living the Abundant Life is one of the most misunderstood Concepts of the entire new Covenant

ko99The Christian aspect of life in the covenant of grace is one of the most difficult concepts to be understood by the majority.

We read and study the word of God and we listen to too many speakers who are very famous preachers, yet this most important aspect of our faith is seldom neglected.

What did John mean when in chapter 10 of His gospel he mentioned What Jesus said “I have come that you may have life and that is more abundantly”?

Many carnal Christians take this verse out of context in translating it as a license to continue living an unrestrained lifestyle after the flesh. Is that what John meant?

Jesus in many occasions spoke of a state of freedom from cares of this life and explained that His yoke is an easy one, yet we all soon find out that Christian life is a narrow road.

Are these contradictions in the His words that we have not able to solve them yet, or there is more depth in these Biblical truths?

Some times we truly come to cross roads in examination of God’s truth, and the human analytical mind do not give us rest in finding out the spiritual truths behind them, and that is why the untaught in the scripture distort it’s truth by their human reasoning’s in making them a terrifying concept of puffed up minds diluted by a lie from the depth of hell itself.

Here is where another twisted concept of the truth can come to hinder God’s own true intention about living the Christian life. Jesus is speaking about which abundant life?

Many of us know His final words from the cross and have many philosophical interpretations for them, yet the spiritual and the heavenly truth behind them is yet to be uncovered by the Holy Spirit for us.

The final word spoken by our Lord and Savior was “ It is finished” ( John 19:30) and after such utterance bowing His head , He gave up His spirit.

I wonder if we have ever received a personal revelation of these final words of our Lord? What was finished do you think? To many of us the first thought that comes to our mind is His mission on earth was ended, since in John the 17th chapter we read His prayers to His Father in accomplishment of His earthly assignment in His first advent.

However I would say there was more He was saying in these few short words than you and I think, which needs the Holy Spirit’s illumination in our hearts.

The Bible shows us that even though the Son of God was dying on the cross for the sins of the world, yet this has been accomplished in the heavenlies from eternity past to eternity future and, even the book of Genesis spoke of it’s accomplishments from the very beginning.

Then what is it that Jesus really is saying from that cross and what significance does it have for us today two millenniums later? Is it really saying what some imposters are saying about it? Did Jesus’s death provide us with a license to live a life of earthly unrestrained pleasures of sin to it’s fullest? You see unfortunately these are the questions that remains unanswered in the circles of the people of faith do to the error of the wicked. I trust what was truly finished through our Lord’s death is the

continual yeildedness to the demands of the carnal nature due to sin, I believe it was this sentence of slavery to the demands of the Law that was broken by His eternal proclamation of “it is finished” and nothing else.

The penalty of sin was death and it’s counterpart was a life of bondage to it’s demands. The greatest of them all being the continual unrest in man’s heart to please God by ones own works, which was the essence of living under the Law was broken.

You see Yeshua( Jesus) upon being known to Simeon through the Holy Spirit’s revelation was called the “The Glory Of Israel” why? Because He was the end of the carnal demands of the Law under which they were unable to rest. The law required man to live under it’s heavy demands, but the grace brought by Christ was the end of the Law. Our carnal disposition is unable to attain the heavy righteous demands of the Law, therefore Jesus was the glory of Israel since He through His death brought men the glorious freedom of the life in spirit. The cry of our Lord was to proclaim man’s freedom from his former state of slavery to sin and the burdensome requirements of the Law.

You see the only previous true relationship between God and man was established through faith, yet the law was required since the abundance of lawlessness had brought men away from God. This establishment of the Law was to make the sin manifest, and to whom was this given? To the decedents of Jacob or Israel. Yet this relationship was established upon works required by the Law. However when Christ appeared the scripture says He became flesh in the fulfillment of the fullness of the time and was born under the law to redeem those who were in bondage to the relationship or covenant of works.

But now upon this proclamation of the finished work of His atonement of sin through His own death His presence as man in the heavens gave us the freedom from the law and brought us the abundant life of continual rest through faith in His eternal presence in the heavenly places.

His eternal presence with the Father has brought us the freedom to live in abundance of trust in Him to give us a complete shalom or rest from our own efforts. You see Jesus the Bible says is seated at the right hand of God. He is not standing, why? He like His Father is resting from His works, and through His finished work you and I can have this spiritual position of rest in Him.

Do you understand what this means? I know this, that to our work based orientation of our former carnal nature ithis is an unknown mystery. It basically says we can not do anything outside of trusting in Him. It is not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of God. God wrestled with Jacob until the day brake why? To show him it is all finished when he trust’s in Him. Have you noticed the position of Christ in the heavenly places. He is seated at the right hand of the Father. Meaning He is fully trusting Him for the accomplished restorations of all things.

This helps us to understand that nothing that is required of us in the law can be accomplished outside of a complete rest in Him.

No demand of God can be reached or accomplish in our own strength.

No plan in our lives can be accomplished outside a mental rest in Him.

This means the abundant life is a full measure of trust being placed on Him to accomplish them for us.

Why is He seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven again, because He in His confidence is trusting God to do it all for Him. The intercessory prayers prayed by Jesus on our behalf as our high priest is the only means for accomplishment of all our petitions in life.

Entering His rest is what the author of the book of Hebrews is pleading with the Jewish believers, why? Because they needed by faith to rest in Him not their own efforts.

The Law was fulfilled in the person of Christ and in Resting In His finished work.

When Simeon said the Lord was “The Light bringing revelation to gentiles” he said, “For Israel He is the Glory” why? Because Israel knew her imperfection when it came to keep the Law. The true rest in Messiah could only bring them their long awaited spiritual rest, something when Steven saw upon heaven being open, that gave Him rest to commit His spirit and to pray for His persecutors and those stoning him.

He was called a blasphemer by the Sanhedrin when he saw Christ’s heavenly position, why? Because it was then when he fully was given the revelation of the Messiah being the end of the law and the prophets. It was by this heavenly vision that Stephan became the first murder of the Christendom. It was such a revelation in the heart of Apostle Paul that gave him rest to enter into the abundant life in His Savior. (Romans 8:1 )It is the same spiritual truth that Jesus wants His sheep to receive.

Peter upon his return to the Lord had a complete understanding that all His efforts to earn his physical and spiritual accomplishments were depended on that rest in Him, which was a spiritual positioning, and not a an outside calm. Jesus taught the zealous Simon that unless you take a mental attitude of rest you can accomplish nothing that you desire. Even your zeal to die for me is a vain human effort.

To Israel after the flesh this was a complete foreign concept to adopt. It is the same until now, that is why even until today the majority remain under the perception that their Messiah would restore to them the physical kingdom, yet Jesus always mentioned the Kingdom of God will not come by observation. Why ? because first the heart of man needs to be restored, before the physical kingdom could be restored.

This is the full redemption. When our spirit and our souls rests fully on Him alone.

The Abundant life in Christ is to receive grace in finding out that when we can not change us or the people around us we need to trust in Him for it. Also when we are challenged by our natural situations around us we could rest in Him in whom we are seated in the heavenly places. When the world around us is crumbling dawn, we should admit that we are weak vessels and that we can not do anything about them, unless the Spirit of Christ that is in us enables us to overcome them in quiet and calm of His rest, using the weapon of prayers instead of our carnal efforts and actions to accomplish all in life.

This is the rest the author of Hebrews is warning Israel of God not to be distant from. It is to trust Christ’s righteousness to work on our behalf and not our own. What the Babylon or the Harlot Church has missed is this concept of rest or reliance in Him. That is why the Spirit of God is asking us to come out of the Babylon the mother of all harlots.

In the book of Revelations there is a knock and a plea to come out. Why is there a knock? Where is the Spirit of our Lord in this invitation? The Bible says to come out of her. This means the caller

( The Spirit of Our Lord) is not there in their midst. He is standing outside.

This I believe is the Church that has left her trust in her Lord by relying on their own efforts and their own merits, This is a spiritual harlot who has divorced herself from her Lord, and the Lord is standing outside and is calling the remnant out. When Jesus cried out from the cross “ It is Finished” prior to that He said “ I thirst ”. What thirst do you think it was, just a physical thirst? which I believe it was too, but I think it was a thirst for God’s righteousness to be accomplished through the work He was about to finish, which many still ignore in our ignorance. Many of us need to heed to this final call of the Holy Spirit to come out of the great Babylon, which I believe is the carnal, work oriented, prayer less, rest less church of these final days
