Let Me know when you are done

Are you at the end of your rope as some say?
This is the best place any one of us can be in receiving God’s intervention on our behalf.
It is right here when our salvation and our Christianity make real sense. Here in this season of our lives the Lord comes in with this question. Let me know when you are done trying on your own and it is then that I could step in and do what no man can do for you. Here is where Jacob wrestled with God and found His new identity in Him. For Jacob it took 21 long years, how long do you think you and I need? Here is where the Lord finally comes in and says “Hey you Christian when are you going to give up doing it your own way? Aren’t you tired and exhausted yet? If you finally are there let Me know, because now you need to be still and know that I Am God”. (Psalm 46:10) This Godly phenomenon describes our faith the best. When man ceases from relying on his own strength inherited from Adam then he receives his new identity in Christ the spiritual Adam.
This is the greatest battlefield of carnal Christians. I am saying carnal, because our strength of the fleshly disposition in Adam constantly has the upper hand in us. We have not learned to submit to God in becoming still and letting God work in our lives, and as long as we do that God Himself will oppose us in this battle. Is it strange that I said God Himself will oppose us? Yes please do not be surprised, since it is for this reason you and I are saved. Unless we die to our own strength and ability to do anything God would not interfere to help us. You don’t believe me? It is ok, search the scriptures for yourselves. The Old and New Testaments are full of this reality. God has created us for dependence on Himself fully and everything outside of this heavenly reality is a worldly and demonic wisdom gained in Eden through the transgression of Adam. For years I have been wrestling with this truth until one day the Lord broke through to me and spoke.
The Lord says His name is Adoni Tzva’ot or the Lord of hosts. Meaning He is the omnipresence God who is the omnipower one and He is the captain of all the armies of the heavenly hosts.
Meaning He alone is in charge over all, Including over all spiritual hosts in the heavenly places and He alone is who sees the unseen world, and can fight for us to get us all our successes we ever need in this life. For example in Psalm 46 when Israel is in her time of distress because of her enemies the Psalmist says. “ God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and the and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. (Selah)
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God.
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved. He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of Hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. (Selah)
Come; behold the works of the Lord. Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariots in the fire.
Be still ad know that I am God ; I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!
The Lord of Hosts “ Adoni Tzva’ot” is with us , the God of Jacob is our refuge.
( Selah)
This is the magnificence of the God that we serve. His Spirit reminds us through this awesome prophetic Psalm that in all our troubles that we face this side of heaven He is present with us and He is our only help.
The Lord keeps reminding us that being still means to recognize in all situations that His presence to assist us is there with us. It is us that we need to stand out of His way to allow Him to begin to fight our battles. After all as I said this is the reason for our redemption. But no our own strength to perform gets in the way of His works. I like when the Psalmist in verse 4 of this Psalm after the pause and time of meditation says “ There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High”.
Here I prophetically see in the eyes of the Spirit how God’s exalted hand of grace is stretched to His people at the time of their extreme drought and how He waters their places of dryness in giving them their supernatural help from the streams of the river of His strength in love.
The Miracles that we long for sent to us from His own tabernacle of grace.
In Exodus 14 when Moses and Israel were pursued by the armies of Pharaoh and they camped before PiHahiroah, between Migdol and the sea opposite Baal Zephon, they were very stressed and began to murmur and complain to Moses wanting to go back toEgypt. But Moses hearing from the Lord spoke to them this awesome message of their deliverance and said. “Do not be afraid, Stand still and see the salvation the Lord , which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
These are the exact words the Lord is telling me and you today in the corner of our hearts while meditating on the Lord in our own quiet places of our home.
Is your situation helpless and hopeless in your own eyes? Then stand still and
See Me perform for you. The marriage you thought there was no hope for? The change of your partner you tries for so long to bring about and it failed miserably? Or the change you are trying to accomplish in yourself does not happen? The job you were so anxious to find? Or the mate you were so eager to choose for yourself did not happen? Then when are you going to stop trying? The Lord says will you allow me to fight for you in what you have tried to win for so long? Please the Lord says let me know when you are done trying, because then I want to fight your battles for you? This is the most wonderful experience for all of us, when the Lord who has been there from the beginning in the spirit with us steps in to intervene and accomplish what we thought it is impossible.
Here is where all the glory goes to the One to Whom all things must bow down in heaven and on earth one day. He is the glorious and the awesome God we worship.
The Lord says finally are you willing and ready to come to me with a childlike faith in expecting the impossible to happen through the eyes of your faith? I can do all things, The Lord says. Is there today anything thing in your life that you think there is no hope for it in the natural and that you have exhausted your own efforts to bring that about? Then The Lord says let Me the Lord of Hosts perform it for you. What it seems impossible for you is possible for Me. Here is where our God is very different from all other gods being worshipped by some.
He is the only one who knows how to fight with the nations, or the hosts of demons who are fighting against you and me. Then let us pray that we receive help to commit to Him what only He could do for us.
Let us give the glory to Him who only deserves it. The God of Jacob is still our God. Yes let us stop and be still and know that we are not God. Amen?
