It all started in heaven, but was spoken out here on earth by Job a suffering, yet just man in the eyes of the Lord !

( Job 9:32-33)

Job a man whom the scripture calls a just man in the eyes of the Lord is the picture of all the true saints who suffer in this side of heaven for righteousness sake. This man in the midst of his own suffering is looking to be reconciled with his God. In Job chapter 9 in the midst of his suffering he is crying out to God who then seemed so far away from his predicaments. Job said to his accusing  friends in this way.

“How can a man be righteous before God?”  ( Job 9:2) “ Though I were righteous, my own mouth would condemn me; Though I were blameless, it would prove me perverse”.( Job 9:20 )

The he says it again… “ I am blameless, yet I do not know myself; I despise my life”.

( Job 9:21) “ If I say, I will forget my complaint I will put off my sad face and wear a smile, and I am afraid of all my sufferings, I know that You will not hold me innocent,.( Job 9:27 7 28)

“ If I am condemned, why then do I labor in vain? If I wash myself with snow water, and cleanse my hands with soap, yet You will plunge me into the pit, and my own clothes will abhor me.” ( Job: 29-31)

Then Job started the greatest utterances of His words that was God’s foreknowledged  cry of all mankind. The  prayer that was confirming Genesis 3:15.

“ For He is not a man, as I am, That I may answer Him, and that we should go to court together, Nor is there any mediator between us, Who may lay His hand on us both.

( Job 9:32-33 )

Did you read this? Can you hear Job here?

Guess what ? After having said all this in chapter 19th of his book  in verse 25 and 26 he says the following eternal truths.

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed this I know, that in my flesh I shall  see my God” Amen? “ Amen”

The Man Jesus

Many times in the Old Covenant scriptures like Daniel’s prophetic book the Lord had appeared in a form of preincarnate Son of Man  like in the fire of the furnace that was to burn God’s true uncompromising servants , Shadrack Meshach and Abednego.

Or in a vision that is described in Daniel’s 7th chapter where in verse 13 Jesus is seen being brought to the Ancient of days calling Him Son of Man. These are the visions of God standing tall in His appearances as the Son of Man a perfect answer to Jobs prayer, instigated through God’s eternal sovereignty in His perfect plan for mankind.

Although these are few of His appearances in the Old Covenant scriptures, but we have  many vivid evidences of His identity with Genesis 3:15’s fulfillment in our age.

These were also hints through which the Old Covenant bride should have  recognized  their Messiah, when He was ready to be revealed to His own inheritance, Israel after the flesh.

Unfortunately they kept on missing it exactly as the prophets had prophesied hundreds of years prior to His revelation through incarnation. However to His remnant elect He was and is the only evidence regardless, so that no one would boast.  You might ask  is this fair? Then I would answer to who’s standard of fairness? Ours or the Lord’s?

Again why did He chose this route of emptying Himself in a form of a sinful flesh? The answer was very much described by Job in his quest for a mediator Who could mediate perfectly on behalf of both side.

The author of the book of  Hebrews in chapter two now speaks of Christ Jesus’s humanity and there he says “In order to give aid to the seed of Abraham, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people”.      ( Heb. 2:16 & 17 )

Now we having the entire Canon beginning from Genesis to Revelations, we read both what the Godhead saw from the beginning in Genesis 3:15 , which was also planned from eternity past to eternity future by declaring it in Rev. 13:8, which says “ The Lamb was slained from the foundation of world”.

This also tells us frail human beings  that a great and sovereign plan has embraced us in our weaknesses through Him who has called us out of this world to be a part of His plan and purpose of creative redemption from its inception. WOW!!! “Unbelievable”

Can you see the awesomeness of this God who has chosen me and you and all His saints to bring us all into His glory?

Going back to His priestly office described in Hebrews chapter 2:17 we need to be reminded that it is by His conformity to our weakness that He could be a merciful and faithful High Priest. Merciful, because He in all things understands our struggles as men.

Now why does the Bible call Him the Good Sheppard? Because in His humanity He did understand the struggles of humankind in becoming like one of us , to be totally aware of our weaknesses in the flesh, yet in His deity He is able through His faithfulness in combating sin by shedding  His blood to save us from its consequences through His High Priestly intercessions. In verse 14 of chapter 2 of Hebrews the writer says it in this way…

“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of the flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil”  This clearly means He is the only one who can sympathize with our weaknesses., and having overcome them through His deity He has become our Good Sheppard.

He was tempted in everything you and I are tempted except He never sinned.

Now

who does the Bible says that the Antichrist is?

One of the reasons why we need to not only know Christ’s humanity, but we need to be firm in it is, because in 1John chapter 4 verses 1 to 3 the Holy Spirit through John says the following…  “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God . Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already is  in the world.  Why  do you think Apostle John is saying this in his letter at the end of his life and in the end of the  first century A.D ?  Since Satan hating this truth about  His incarnation of Christ he could camouflage it by a different gospel, by which he would nullify our Redemptive Salvation.

If Jesus Christ was never in the flesh He would never be the mediator between man and God. He would not be the perfect anything the other side of heaven. He would not be the High priest for all eternity like Melckizedeck. We would have been in our sins. He would not hear or understand us in our sinful humanity, just as Job said. Do you now see how important it is to understand both His deity and Humanity at the same time? It is through His humanity that while being tempted we could cry out to Him for help and full understanding. It is through His humanity that the sick called Him Son of David or Son of Man to receive both heir physical and spiritual eye sights back.  Why Son of David? Because it is through His humanity that He stands closer than a brother to all who call upon Him.

It is through His humanity that we receive the spirit of sonship and He calls us His brethren and so much more.
