In search Of Righteousness, Redemption & Restoration

The search for rightousness, redemption and restoration are the purpose of all human existance from the fall.
All of us in our weakest points of our lives are looking to find these heavenly virtues and they are always found in one place and that is in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Man in his search for answers decided to run from God and His commandments and that left him naked, ashamed and sorrowful, yet God in His everlasting covenant of grace was always ready to redeem and restore him in righteousness. Although man’s transgression has placed him in this horrific state of existance, yet God’s everlasting love lifted him up from all its predicaments. The shame based, guilt filed life of an unredeemed man had brought the wrath of God on Him , but God’s abundant mercy and grace in Christ Jesus freed him from all his agonies.
The Bible in psalm 85 verse 10 says
“Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.”
One of the meanings driven from this verse of the Old covenant is that, when we confess the truth about our sin, God’s mercy in Christ can meet us right there.
When we come to the realization of our state of sinful brokenness and confess it before God and men, immediately God’s covenant love called mercy is available to us in our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ. As I said this is one of the meanings of this verse, because it does also mean that in Christ the Lord who is The Truth always there is mercy or covenant love. In another word God’s covenant love called mercy was found in His own truth who is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. This is why upon being found in Him we start seeing His covenant of mercy actively working in our lives.
Many wonder why the worst of sinners are all of a sudden pardoned and placed in a place of honor and glory, because it is the righteousness of Christ that makes them worthy.
This also means as we humble ourselves in letting our pride go in confessing Him as our only true redemption in life from the power of sin, immediately through our confession His righteousness become positionally ours and God’s peace kisses our lives.
Upon man’s confession of sin the Lord looks away from the nakedness of his sin. Just like the story of Noah where contrary to the actions of his one son his other two sons were not willing to look at the nakedness of their father’s sin and they having chosen the Godly path covered their fathers nakedness & in this they pleased their father.
God also in Christ has covered the nakedness of our sin and brought us His redeeming love. This does not mean we have no sin, but that in our sin through confession His mercy or His covenant love becomes available to us.
It is like this that upon our genuine repentance Christ savings account of mercy is open to us to benefit from. This being His redemptive virtue of His own righteousness.
We are immediately acquitted because of Him who paid it all on Calvary.
It is for this very reason that we begin to fill the surpassing knowledge of His peace in our heart, which is above all human understanding. One of the greatest problems in the Church today is that many in Christ forget their position in Him and remain living in unconfessed sins, therefore the mercy of God is withheld from them and anxiety & demonic bondages marks their lives again. After being pronounced righteous in their initial confession of faith in Christ Jesus, they go back hiding in their nakedness by refusing to admit their daily transgressions and sins to God and man.
Many run to worldly psychological helps, because they do not like to confess the truth in their stiff neck ignorance and by doing so they deny God’s mercy on their behalf.
This is the reason why many remain in anxiety and depression, because they are not like King David who was willing to confess his sins to God & men. ( Ps. 51 )
Looking for mercy, they are slaves of their own pride. These would have tasted the goodness of God for themselves and their own families, if they were ready from the heart to confess the truth about their sins and their need for mercy. Jesus being their covenant of love is waiting at the door of their hearts to hear them confess and He is just and faithful not only to forgive their sins, but to cleanse them from all unrighteousness.
People say I trust in my conscious, or my conscious is my god. But what if your conscious is defiled or even smeared or dead ? Can your smeared conscious replace the virtues of the One and Only True God? Many live with false sense of securities in their hearts do to worshiping their man made gods, but The True Righteousness that causes the True Peace to come is found only in Christ Jesus alone. It was also Him who said I Am the Prince of Peace.
Many like the prodigal son leave the true and only God, for the gods of their own appetites of the flesh and live in the nakedness of their sins covered by all kinds of malice. But it is always the seed of faith planted in them from very early on, that one day would convict them in the deepest places of their sin, which leads them back to God. It is amazing that only God can turn man’s heart to Himself and that through the conviction of His love. Yes it is the goodness of God that leads us unto repentance. I like this saying “ Man can speak to the man’s ears, but God only can speak to his heart” How true, and that in love. It is God’s love that restores us to fellowship with Him. How many times we want to make straight the bended & bruised conscious’s of man through our efforts, but God is the only One Who could make it straight by His grace. Yes we can only co- labor in it by His help given us called grace.
How many times we destroy His work by our ignorance of our flesh in uncovering what He dares not to look at it again.
Just like Ham we enjoy in watching at what God has already covered through His redeeming grace. We too like the ungodly hurry up in uncovering the nakedness of one another, where the Lord has by His blood covered it in His covenant love called mercy.
The Lord is jealous over His own, and did go very far in covering our sins by His own truth, yet we drowned in our own human understanding stay naked and barren in seeing the measure of His love for us.
In search of rightousness, redemption and restoration we are all of a sudden faced with one truth, and that is our utter sinfulness, which is the beginning of our quest.
This is where the remnant are called the Bride of the Christ. The most precious possession of the Lord who has through grace possessed the knowledge of her worth and value in Him. She is the one maiden who understands the necessity of looking unto her future Bridegroom in expectancy of their final reunion. It is her who would be willing to beautify herself for her husband to come. She is the one who has captivated the heart of her beloved by closely following His footsteps. It is this kind of a maiden that in her search for her beloved has surpassed all other virgins. She is the one who was looking in the garden for her beloved. She is the one who has enjoyed the kisses of her beloved in righteousness and peace being her ornaments of beauty. It is her who would ask others for Him if He stands away for a little while saying.. “Has anyone seen my Beloved. I am my Beloved’s and my beloved is mine” Song of Songs
