In pursuit of what pleases God

In pursuit of what pleases God is a word that can bring us to understand His heart. Many are asking what should I do to please God?
Or they ask what should I do for God? In this simple questioning many are yet to truly understand the real answer to this profound question.
Religion says many things to satisfy this yearning in the heart of man, but the truth says an entirely different thing about this.
Church are you ready to hear the truth about this most commonly asked question?
Are you Bold enough to receive the truth revealed by the Holy Spirit in these final days?
Well in Psalm 85 verse 10 the Psalmist is receiving an awesome revelation of God’s end of this mystery and I like to quote it to you.
“Mercy and truth have met together, Righteousness and peace have kissed.”
This deep verse has spoken all about what ultimately has brought a smile on the face of God. This is the entire concept of what pleases God in Christ His Son’s atoning death for us on the cross.
It is in this that God was pleased that His Son’s sacrificial death became His act of mercy on the cross and by this God’s Rightousness Kissed the peace on the lives of all those who would admit their unrighteousness and sinfulness before God.
Yes it is His rightousness that brought peace to the tormenting soul of men.
Also in Psalm 51 and I Cor. Chapter 1 we are left with its proof.
Yes the foundation of man’s right standing with God is the acknowledgement of his sin before Him. David upon admittance of His guilt in the confession of His sin was found just before God and in His confession he acknowledged his need for a broken and a contrite heart. Here he began to say that God’s first requirement of men is to acknowledge his sin and it is from there that our pursuit to please Him would take a new concept.
In Psalm 51 David is crying out to God to renew His Spirit within him and then he says a wonderful thing that is. Now you would accept my sacrifices on your altar. It is then and only then that our gifts and sacrifices would be acceptable to Him.
“A broken and contrite heart O God you will not despise”.
Psalm 51
This is the foundation of all our good deeds before God.
Story of Abraham’s testing of faith came when he was already enjoying the fruit of God’s righteousness to him. He was called just by having faith in God and in accepting His own sinfulness where he had allowed God to become his own righteousness. However the Lord in Genesis 22 said I will test the truth about his faith, by having him to bring his son as a sacrifice. Oh Yes God is not happy with any sacrifice, He is only happy on the sacrifices of His own rightousness. Isaac was the fulfillment of God’s promises to Abraham and a true sacrifice of righteousness was only what could make the heart of God satisfied. Many are trying to please God with their own gifts, yet the Lord is only fully pleased with the sacrifices of love and His own righteousness brought to the altar. The story of Genesis 22nd chapter speaks of Isaac asking his father. Father the wood and fire is with us, where is the lamb he asked?
Here is where the old man Abraham in the testing of His faith said “My son, God will provide for Himself the Lamb for a burnt offering” Gen. 22:8
It is amazing the answer exalts a deep revelation “God will provide for Himself” Yes not our provision, but God’s own provision will only satisfy the heart of God. And that for a “Burnt Offering”. The man Abraham saw Christ from a far off in laying Isaac dawn as the Lamb of God to be scarified for our sins. In this great trial of faith the man Abraham was not placing Ishmael as some claim on the altar, since Ishmael was not and could be the right sacrifice, since he was not the fruit of God’s promise of love to Abraham and Sarah. It was Isaac who qualified and satisfied God’s heart.
Saying farewell to Isaac was not an easy task it was a real sacrifice, which would show God the heart of love and gratitude for God’s righteousness.
Today many in the Church of Jesus Christ say Oh I do this for God and I do that for Him, but they forget and some deliberately, the plea of heaven through the words of our scripture by Apostle Paul that says in Romans 12: 1 that says “Brethren I beseech you by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service to Him”.
Wow what a heavenly demand?
The word sacrifice in this text has left many astounding, since it has left its meaning in question with many in the body of Christ.
A sacrifice means to bring one hardship to do another any good.
This means to give out of harm to one’s own state of comfort, not in ease and abundance.
This type of giving, after being counted righteous by faith in Christ makes God’s heart joyful, not when we are not willing to pay any price.
Today many in the Church of Jesus Christ say Oh I do this for God and I do that for Him, but they forget and some deliberately, the plea of heaven through the words of our scripture by Apostle Paul that says in Romans 12: 1 that says brethren “ I beseech you by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service to Him”.

The word sacrifice in this text has left many astounding, since it has left its meaning with many in the body of Christ. Instead a selfish attitude has replaced its original intent.
A sacrifice means to bring one hardship to do other any good.
Many get upset when the Lord says give from your lack. Mocking Him they show Him the attitude of their heart in a stubborn unbeleif.
Guys when that woman gave the Lord’s eyes were watching her sacrifice she was making.
It was hard for her, we do not know being a widow she might not have been old as some think like our previous picture. There are many younger widows with children, who are widows, yet you know the acts of their rightousness is what prepares their wedding garment. Jesus immediately rebuked His own disciples when they tried to show Him the building of the temple and gifts brought there, by telling them soon none of these would stand. He said this widow gave all of her livelihood that she had. This kind of giving is that pleases God not the rich man’s extras. The giving out of your abundance is not received by Him the way it is when you pay Him out of your need.
Brothers and sisters we are going through a severe sifting of our faith. A prophetic time of testing has come to us to bring us to a truth never seen in times past with the Church. Our faith is now being examined for the rewards we will have in stewardship of all that by Christ’s righteousness has been handed dawn to us. This physical financial fame we are in the United States and the world is allowing the remnant to be purified in their motives and in the intents of their heart. We who claim to be wanting to receive blessing from the Lord He is saying to us in the midst of these storms. Where is your true devotion?
Can you bring me by faith sacrifices of rightousness to be noticed by me? Or are you still trying to bring me your own excuses to fully surrender. In what do you truly make your investments? Has your devotion to Me ever costing you anything?
Are we living here on earth as people set our hearts on pilgrimage or as citizens.
Has Christ take notice of our worship in a sacrificial way? Or are we still living lives of self-preservation in human wisdom trying to please men or than God. Are we building our homes and businesses as the neighbor next to us hoping to be noticed and admired by men? Or are we truly giving our all to God to be noticed by Him?
Do we understand what King David meant when he in the end of psalm 51 cried out to God in regards to bringing Him the Burnt offering of righteousness? Or are we still making our own standard of pleasing Him?
Is giving to the work of the Lord a delight for us, even when we might have to sacrifice many of our own pleasures? Or are deliberately denying His own Son’s sacrifice by not going outside the camp to become like Him? Heb. 13:13
James the half brother of our Lord in His letter says “ You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war, Yet do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
Adulteress and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? ( James 4:2-4)
You see as long as we live with the standards of this passing life as Christians God’s best would be kept from us, since we have not understood what pleases God’s heart.
As long as we think like the world thinks we have not understood the meaning of true sacrifice that the Lord made for us, then how could we expect the Lord’s pleasure and approval in our midst.
If we turn with the economy to live like the rest of the gentiles, then where is our true evidence of our faith?
What God cherished in this story was her sacrifice of faith. Did she perish after she gave all she had you think?
Church have you though what did happen to this woman after she gave her all? Would the Lord Jesus who commanded her gift soon after that let her go on to perish?
What do you think happened to her? I leave you with this question and may God bless you in all you do for Him in His provision of righteousness.
