Exodus to find the path of the true righteousness and truth

12

An amazing unveiling of the Hidden treasures of God’s truth in the pages of Exodus the 17th chapter verses 1 through 16 has given me the courage for the word tonight.  Having never seen the scriptures in the light of God’s glory in this way is a magnificent act of grace for me.

In the 17th chapter of the book of Exodus in only 16 verses the precious Holy Spirit reveals to us a great unveiling of God’s eternal glory through the Rehma exposure of His word.

The scene is the wilderness of Sin, and an assembly of men and women brought forth from Egypt ( world) are the example of all those who after walking out of their experience of  salvation are about to receive their greatest miracle. In this journey of faith to the promise land of the eternal abode of blessedness, the mystery is the recovery of sight from one’s own blindness of heart in discovery of our sinful nature which is demonstrated in self –righteousness acquired through our natural birth.

This is our word for tonight and may the Lord help us recover our sights once again.

Amalekites were a wondering tribe descendents of Esau representing the lust of the flesh or our lower nature of sin. Located in the land and the area between Cannon and Egypt. Representing the sin in us and in the world. These enemies must have been fought and destroyed before the Israelites could possess their physicalpromised land of inheritance. Spiritually they represent the enemy within us brought from the world, which here the enemy is self righteousness. Moses representing the Law was to brake this great enemy within us, yet when he was faced with this enemy on the way from Egypt to Cannon was always asking Joshua a type of Christ to gather an army to fight against this enemy. Representing (Romans 7 & 8) and its warfare. Then Exodus chapter 17th says Moss’s hands were getting weak to remain lifted up therefore Aaron  and Hur finally had to hold it up until the daybreak so that this enemy would be completely destroyed.

These meant Intercession through priesthood and confession of the word brought victory in this war.

Here in Exodus 17:14 the Lord says to Moses the following “Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek (Root of Self Righteousness in man) from under heaven”. And Moses built an “ altar and called its name The Lord- Is My Banner or Yahweh NISSI; for he said “ Because the Lord has sworn The Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

This being the greatest sin of mankind was a carryover from the world into the wilderness experience of man’s journey with God, and here Moses confesses that this enemy needed the Lord’s grace through spiritual warfareto be totally defeated by Him. Yes through God Himself by the sword of His word, which is Christ Jesus the actual Joshua this enemy would be defeated from generation to generation.

Therefore Amalek is still a spiritual enemy.

In the dry and barren wilderness of our Exodus from the world there is a fountain of grace in Christ Jesus that constantly reminds us of His victory in Love over the cross. Denying this fact is reckoning us powerless to completely defeat this fierce enemy living within all of us.

When faced with many kinds of trials the geniuses of our faith is tested through our reminder of our need for the cross. The Amalek of the self rightousness, which is the root of all hidden pride shows up and demands judgment, yet the need for forgiveness and the love of Christ is the means for defeat of this terrible enemy of our soul. Here is where the words of the Lord is reminded to me that says…” Unless your righteousness does not exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees and Scribes by no means you will enter the kingdom of God.”Here is where this giant is beheaded by the Lord in His demonstration of love for us.

When King Saul was rebuked by the prophet Samuel in not fully obeying the Lord’s command in completely destroying all the Amalekites, by sparing the King and their best flock, Saul lost God’s continual presence with Him for 38 years. This spiritually meant Saul did not utterly destroy all self Righteousness and not only that he transgressed before God and His prophet by keeping the King and the best sheep alive supposedly for God. This transgression of Saul meant he did not utterly deny his self rightousness and brought God sacrifices of his own rightousness, which was detestable to God. That is why the prophet Samuel had to kill the king of Amalekites. Saul’s rebellion caused the demonic to enter his life and to torment his soul continually during his reign in Israel for the rest of his years.

Self rightousness is denying the cross.

It is amazing that when king David  received the news of the death of king Saul it was an Amalek who brought the king’s crown and claimed he had killed the king leaping on the his own sword. This meaning the self righteous spirit of Saul was the reason of his self defeat and death. However this foul spirit was going to pass on the kingdom to David, however David being a man after God’s own heart refused to receive the kingdom and the crown in Self Righteousness.

On the contrary David the Bible says rebuked the Amalekite and ordered his death.  By this once again the stronghold of self righjtousness was rooted out by David.

I believe this was a very last revelation from God of the spiritual forces in opposition to hand David the kingdom in an ungodly fashion. David passing this test received the promised throne true integrity of his heart before God.

Raising ones hands before God in praise for His righteousness is a declaration of war against Satan’s seducing weapons of darkness. Just like when Moses raised his hands and the warfare was won, so it is now for us. The New Covenant scripture in 1 Timothy 2:8 says it in this way “Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension”. I trust this means we all need to acknowledge our sin and instead of pointing finger to others we need to lift our hands in surrender to God in acknowledgment of His rightousness and it is then that we will stand still and see the salvation of our God in all our battles in God’s great redemptive power of His grace.

As Moses built an altar and wrote a memorial we too then can cry out the same in saying “The Lord Is My Banner”

The Lord is my Victory in this battle called Wilderness.

This is why I believe King David’s first victory on the philistine called Goliath was a small beginning in the greatest giant conquered by him at last, which was the strong hold of Self Rightousness. An enemy that had no place in His life, since he was a man of confession and integrity. Though he sinned very bad at times and did pay very high prices for them, yet no sin remained unconfessed in his life.

Greatest of all that His kingdom was not established on the grounds of Saul’s kingdom of self rightousness, but was like His Lord Jesus Christ established on the righteousness of God rather than his own. A very strong tower for the one who was to come from his own loins in whom is integrity and holiness forevermore. This being our banner we will be humbled by Him who has the power to destroy all evil and gives us Himself as our shield and our greatest reward. May we too follow His example in all of our days on earth.

May God bless us all in this.
