Boldness in the Day of Judgment

12

One of the most inescapable facts of our faith is the reality of the Judgment day.

As the people of God who are saved through faith in The Lord Jesus Christ we need to understand that there is a final day of judgment. In that day we can face a true and a righteous Judge to whom we must all give account the Bible says.

This reality should never escape us, no matter who we are and where we live. But it is also truth that we have a great assurance that can give us boldness to stand before this heavenly Judge one day.

Many of us know that this world is soon to be standing in a universal judgment, because of its wickedness, and the greatest of all lawlessness is the refusal to believe in Christ and His gift of grace called the saving faith.

The good news is that this great Judge has become a friend to some and this is the cause for our renewed passion today.

As the day is approaching the hearts of men are failing them as we read in Luke the 21st chapter last Thursday night, yet in the heart of His own beloved a hope is arising more and more. Looking at the records of the scripture we can become reassured of many judgments that this world has gone under. Starting with the flood of Noah and the tower of Babel and the Sodom and Gomorrah, we may plainly see that these were all facts of history surrounding us.

However the Bible tells us of another worldwide judgment that is to come on the day of the Lord. This is the final judgment and, it is called the wrath of God.

Paul the apostle and many others in the New Covenant speak of this final day as the day of the Lord. Obadiah 15

This is not something anyone wants to ignore, yet in this there are many who would stand acquitted and safe.

Here is how the passion is renewed and the love is ignited where all else might fail others.

A great mystery called boldness in the Day of Judgment.

The Lord spoke in John the 14th chapter about a great mystery called abiding in Him. The word to abide means to remain. This is a constant existance in something. To abide means although there is a possibility of leaving, but a certain decision is made to remain. Jesus likened Himself into a vine and His Father as the vinedresser and us as branches. The metaphor is a beautiful expression of our position in Him at all times. This shows us our continual need for Him in all situations. This also speaks of our fruitfulness in Him.

But most important of all speaks of our final position in Him at the last day.

This spiritual position brings us to our greatest treasurer and that is our permanent place with Him in heaven.

In these days that we are all wondering how the consumation of all things would happen, all of a sudden a heavenly trumpet is being blown.

In the sound of this heavenly trumpet the armies of God are marching forth for the greatest battlefield of all to take place, yet in the midst of it all I hear another call being made for the remnant which says.

Come let us approach His throne with a higher boldness and enter into His Holiness in love.

Brothers and sisters in Christ this is our final call, that we know God through love.

In 1st John chapter 4 verses 7 and on Apostle John says is it in this way….

“Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

In this the love of God was manifested towards us that God has sent His only

Begotten Son into the world. That we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he in God.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him.

The Consummation of Love

Love has been perfected among us in this; that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment, because as He is, so are we in this world.

What? What? What? Wow what did we just read? Did I hear this right? The only thing that can give me boldness to stand acquitted from the wrath of God on the Day of Judgment is the perfected love? Wow what an amazing illumination of truth?

In another word the scripture is speaking to us today of our protection from judgment to come has to do with love? It amazing, isn’t it?

As His only crime was love so we need to be in this world.

This was amazing Church. I did not know my love for Him and His own means so much, since the following verses speak much greater truth about this boldness to stand in the day of His judgment.

The following verses say….

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment, but he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

We love Him because He first loved us. If someone says, “I love God” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who do not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

And this commandment we have from Him; that he who loves God must love his brother also.

What an amazing unveiling of truth under the light of His word. Now we must rejoice in knowing that the greatest weapon against the kingdom of darkness is manifested in this one thing to love as He loved us and this is the boldness by which we would one stand at thefinal judgment day.

This also the perfected love that we love one another and through this we know that we remain or abide in God and God has come to abide in us. This is why all commandments end in love.

This is why I believe after receiving Christ’s Spirit in us we need to remain in Him by choosing life over death. No wonder the enemy works so hard to kill life in us by bringing death through offences and deep unforgiveness called resentment. He is after stealing our only birth right, which is our boldness to stand at the last day.

This is why the greatest struggle for Jacob before He was granted to become Israel in loved His brother Esau unto complete peace between them both.

May you and I come to receive this greatest gift of all to stand in the final day with no fear having chosen life over death.

Remember the Judge could be your Father if you receive Him in love. Happy Valentine’s Day to all. Since God is our true valentine this day.
