The Wisdom of The Wise

GFGRRR

One of the most incredible stories of the scriptures is the story of Prophet Samuel’s life and the wisdom he gained that made him the man he became. I like to call it the wisdom of the wise. When her mother Hanna brought the little boy Samuel to Eli the priest she did not even comprehend the extent of this dedication. She formally had promised that the lad would be wined from the milk and then would be dedicated to the service of the Lord’s house. In the following years the young man Samuel began to learn to hear God’s voice and develop an ear to hear Him and upon hearing God’s voice to obey the commands of the Lord. The young man Samuel was and is the best model of hearing the ...Read More...

An extreme contrast with a marred image!

One of the most incredible commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ is inscribed in Matthew’s gospel chapter 5. In this portion of the scripture we hear a very hard saying and many are not completely settled by these words. Here Jesus says the following in verse 20. “For I say unto you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees; you shall by no means enter into the kingdom of heaven.” An astounding truth in the face of religious hypocrisy possessed through Pharisaical pretentiousness. Worry and Fear are the number one enemies attacking all men kind throughout all generation, but more than ever today they have made many their captives unnoticed. A sense of fear or “Phobia” combined with worry and anxiety has crept in among the people and is destroying millions of lives around the world. A real such epidemic is endangering the lives of many even in the Church, but the Lord said He Himself is our peace. Today’s message is what Gideon proclaimed after His encounter with the preincarnate Jesus. “The Lord is Peace”. (Judges 6:24) It is an amazing sense of calmness when one finds a place of true refuge. In Judges Chapter 6 we read the anxiety of the entire nation ...Read More...

With God nothing is impossible

The greatest message about the birth of our Messiah besides a Savior being born unto us is the proclamation of the angel Gabriel in Luke 1:37, which declares “For with God nothing will be impossible”. This declaration of faith was and is more than it simply appears to be. It was the basic foundation of all that Christian faith would be about. “With God”, these two words bring alive all that Christianity would be all about. Miriam, the virgin betrothed to a man named Yosef was the chosen vessel of the Lord to receive such an awesome invitation of incarnation, however it was through her humble state of obedience in a positive response by faith that the spoken word of this high ...Read More...

This New Year Sunday “Let us come and obey the greatest of all commandments.”

This New Year Sunday “Let us come and obey the greatest of all commandments.” “Let us worship God in a new and living way” Today is the beginning of a new Christian calendar day, beginning of the year 2012. Today many are looking unto a new page in their lives. Many pray and seek to find a new horizon in this year. Many have New Year resolutions. Many seek to better their outlook on life, but I am going back to where it all began and that is in the word of God. Since the Bible says in the beginning was the “Word” and the “Word” was with God and the “Word” was God. He was in the beginning with God and all things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was ...Read More...
