Uncovering the mystery of lawlessness!

12

When reading the words in Esther chapter 3 verse 8 which Haman the enemy of the Jews spoke to the Persian King Ahasuerus, I was immediately filed in awe. These are the words spoken by him to the king and I quote them for you. “There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people’s,and they do not keep the king’s laws, therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain.” Amazing isn’t it? The enemy of the people of God said to the king that their laws are different from all other people and that they did not keep the laws of the earthly king. This was said by an Agagite ...Read More...

The Race of Christian faith

12

It is very interesting how our life in the faith is compared to a race. Many see Christianity as a mere religion and go about it as another man made religion. But the word of God and our personal relationship with God proves it to us that it is nothing but a walk of faith. The New American Standard translation of the Bible describes faith as “Assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”. Looking at the word conviction I found myself profoundly amazed. I said within my own heart, what a true translation of the meaning of faith. Yes I said this is the problem with many of us. Yes the conviction part is missing in the hearts of many believers on an ongoing basis. ...Read More...

When our praise comes from Him alone!

12

As men Jesus says we all like the praises of men and we love to be accepted by all. In our fallen human nature we like to be praised by men. This earthly disposition comes from the nature of the flesh, or the old nature. Jesus said the parents of the blind man that He healed loving the approval of men were afraid to testify about the miracle of their only son being healed by Jesus. He said in that context that they were afraid to be placed outside of the synagogue; therefore they themselves would not confess the truth. However they said let him our son who is of age testify about himself. Why? Probably because of His birth defect he was an outcast from among the temple worshippers. Maybe ...Read More...

Let Me know when you are done

12

Are you at the end of your rope as some say? This is the best place any one of us can be in receiving God’s intervention on our behalf. It is right here when our salvation and our Christianity make real sense. Here in this season of our lives the Lord comes in with this question. Let me know when you are done trying on your own and it is then that I could step in and do what no man can do for you. Here is where Jacob wrestled with God and found His new identity in Him.  For Jacob it took 21 long years, how long do you think you and I need? Here is where the Lord finally comes in and says “Hey you Christian when are you going to give up doing it your own way? Aren’t you tired and ...Read More...

Every Christian has an enemy

12

1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Every Christian has an enemy. Although unseen by the natural eye, this adversary is not imaginary nor a mythological character. Satan, the Devil, is a real person… a spirit being, with intelligence, tangible characteristics, and whose incessant goal and ambition is to “steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10). Around the clock the enemy is on the prowl, seeking to cause harm and destruction to all believers and the work of Jesus Christ throughout the world. With military-like strategy and ruthless hostility, the devil aggressively searches for ...Read More...

Being set apart by God is the Title of our Message Today

12

In all our feelings of unworthiness and the insignificance that we seldom feel, the Lord’s outlook on us is an altogether different thing. The Bible declares that we are divinely chosen by God for His own purposes and that how insignificance we feel in ourselves is not important. That is why we should know that we all are predestined in Him for what He sees us fit to do for Him in the generation we live in. If we think our lives have no importance to men, to God it matters. That is why He has chosen us before we were ever born. Isn’t this marvelous and isn’t He awesome? Now let us dig a little deeper into the words of the scripture to find out why and how we are a little ...Read More...

When all finally began to make sense!

12

Many times we just like Job looking upon our lives and our circumstances cannot make sense out of them at all. It seems to us that our challenges and our sufferings are overwhelming and unbearable and we are unsettled under the weight of our ordinary life situations. It seems as though the Lord has lifted Himself out of our lives leaving us under the weight of our own circumstances, but to our surprise the scriptures have a different explanation for us. Now before we could even look further into this mystery, let us pray for spiritual wisdom and understanding in comprehending the meaning and the strength of our faith. Many of us after so many years of being a Christian need to return to ...Read More...

Who or what is the rock?

12

In Matthew the 16th chapter there still remains an awesome revelation that the church in all ages must be holding its truth in the highest esteem, otherwise her existance would be replaced by a counterfeit lie posing as the truth. This is the truth about this remarkable story inscribed in the 13th to 23rd verses. In this setting Jesus comes to His own disciples asking them what men are saying about Him. This test of His divine authority is foundation of all of our understanding of  His Church and the means through which His true Church would stand its grounds till He would come to take all those who are truly His from this earth. By this question Jesus revealed the difference ...Read More...

Jehovah Rapha

12

Today we want to look at another one of the many names of our God, and that is Jehovah Rapha or the God that heals us. In Exodus chapter 15 we encounter this great revelation of the Lord our God about Himself. Israel of God after their passage from theRed Sea comes to an area where they are tested by the Lord for their loyalty to what He had just performed for them. Moses and the children of Israel had just sang a song to their God and Miriam Moses’s sister the prophetess of God had just sang another song to their God. Right after this glorious praise and worship the word says Moses now led them to the wilderness of Shur  where there were bitter waters and the people seeing the ...Read More...
