The Audacity of Love, That Brings a Song of True Salvation

1

In the prophetic word of Isaiah chapter 26 there is a song of salvation mentioned that many of us need to have our minds renewed through its truth. Isaiah the prophet declares here that the land of Judah will embrace one day a small group or some remnant that would finally grasp in their hearts the greatness of God’s salvation by living in obedience of it to the end. This renewed thinking is going to make them a strong city, where the unseen enemy no longer can intrude by corrupting their minds. Isaiah says “God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks.” Then in verses 2 & 3 he continues to say hic“Open the gates that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may ...Read More...

Revelation of God’s goodness when we are least expecting it in our lives.

1

“God’s Goodness” Tonight I want us to once again pay our attention towards God’s goodness in the lives of those vessels that are chosen according to His grace for favor. In describing this ultimate virtue of our God and Redeemer we would need to return to the Old Covenant story of one man’s election of grace to receive God’s redemptive power of love. This man is none but Mephibosheth the grandson of King Saul and the son of Jonathan with whom King David had previously entered into an oath of friendship before the Lord. This incredible friendship has been the greatest story of brotherhood in the Old Covenant, since it portrayed many facets of God’s love for His own chosen ...Read More...

Evil Company Corrupts Good Habits

12

The truth about this title quickens my heart to speak to us in this regards this morning. In the time of our meditation upon the word of God we recognize a very secret element and that is the choice of our close friends. Yes even among those who bear the name of the Lord unfortunately. Many times we being men of faith walk to the other extreme in trusting those whom the Lord has said to stay away. Apostle Paul had this admonishment to the Corinthians since their greatest treasure was endangered by the choice of their friends. As we all must know and admire that our faith in Christ although is a gift, but has become our most valuable treasure in this life. As with earthly treasures which ...Read More...

Men of an unusual strength

12

The subject of our message tonight is what many are yet to discover once they are truly immersed in Christ. This profound truth about a greater measure of strength found in the faith is the basis of our grace walk in Christ. Men of the unusual strength are the greatest evidence of God’s righteousness and they are the people who have allowed their lives to be glorifying God in all ages. These are the vessels of His glory the Bible says, and by their unusual stand in God they have brought Him the praise that only belongs to Him. These have become the men of whom the world did not truly know anything in this regard. These men have surrendered themselves to the eternal God and His purposes ...Read More...

Times of restoration

12

“…the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. And He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heavens must receive until the times of the restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.” (Acts 3:19-20). In these words Peter declared what Israel could not fully understand then, yet to the remnant this was their only promise and hope for all things spoken to them through all their former prophets. In one difference that here Apostle Peter being filled with the Holy Spirit received courage and strength to declare it to God’s people. Peter in this word not ...Read More...

Being Rich toward God

12

In Luke the 12th chapter we read the story of a man who comes to Jesus with a civil matter a complaint in regards to his quarrel with his earthly brother in regards to their inheritance being divided between them two. In this short but very serious meeting our Lord spoke in a parable to this man. In this way He spoke…“The land of a rich man produced plentifully, and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry. ...Read More...
