Unmasking the Hypocrite

12

As we just heard the definition of the word hypocrite we are to distinguish one from another. The first definition has a religious definition and the second one has a more general sense to it. I want us to start from the second and go to the first definition of the word hypocrite. “ A person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings”. This definition of the word hypocrite speaks of the core of the problem and that is actions rather than words spoken by men or women. Many times we hear people contradict their words and yet we still let them get away with their actions without paying attention to the basic principals of their motivations, which do not agree with ...Read More...

Looking Unto The true Source Of all sustenance

11

The greatest struggle of our faith comes to end in a very simple word which is to trust. Trusting the true source of all life is our biggest challenge this side of heaven. The psalmist in the beginning of the book of psalms starts his words with the blessed man’s condition, which is the joy of all who come to know God, and he relates it to the measure of this man’s trust in God. The state of blessing is not just what the psalmist starts this psalm with, but the joyful state of all genuine believers in God. This spiritual state of eternal joy is the essence of what is promised to all who trust in God. Psalm 1 starts with a blessing to all who come to know God and put their trust in ...Read More...

Trust the Lord with all your heart.

12

(Proverbs 3:5) A very sure command of our faith, which is the basic foundation of our walk in Him. The scriptures tell us the father of our faith Abraham believed (trusted) in God and his trust was counted to him as righteousness. What a good place to start our discussion this afternoon. The Bible has a hall of fame of all those who trusted God in all their lives in practical ways and the Bible in the Hebrews chapter 11 calls them the hero’s of faith. Starting with Abraham all of these hero’s needed to live out their declaration of faith in many practical aspects of their walk. It is very interesting that the verse 5 of the book of proverbs says trust Him with all your heart. This ...Read More...

The immutable evidence

11

The scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is the corner stone and the builders rejected this immutable fact of their faith. Who were the builders? And how did they reject their only corner stone? God had chosen a nation among all peoples of the world to reveal His righteousness to them and the very same people rejected this righteousness by denying all that was written in their law and the prophets about the essence of their faith. “The Resurrected Messiah” The Pharisees took their own commands and wrapped it around their human traditions, yet Sadducees totally rejected the hope of their righteousness, which was the resurrection from the dead. To this end they both became dull in ...Read More...

God’s eternal Altar

11

The Cross is an eternal memorial altar before the heavens. The God of heavens and earth had erected an eternal altar from eternity past to eternity future for all who would come to realize that salvation is not found anywhere, but in the name of Jesus the Christ and through this an eternal abode has been opened up for us in heavens. As Abraham the father of our faith built many altars and they later on served as memorial sights of God’s goodness to him, we have an eternal altar in the sight of God build by Him spiritually to serve us as an eternal reminder. For two thousand years men looking at the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ are reminded of this eternal altar where the greatest ...Read More...

Greatest Violation Independence

13

Independence became the greatest violation of the heavens. “God said “Let Us make man in our own Image, according to our own likeness” Genesis 1:26 “So God created man in His own Image; in the Image of God He created him”…. Genesis 1:27 In the beginnings of all creations God created man to resemble Himself in all maters and in the Likeness of God He created them. Yet very soon in Genesis 3:5 the greatest violation of Heaven’s Paradise transferred to the earthly realm of His creation and that was the error of Independence. Man chose to be on His own and through this spiritual death began its reign. Man through his own free choice of a perfect free will became an ...Read More...
