In my shame He Searched And Made a notice of me

12

One of the most profound stories of grace in the Old Covenant scripture which shed’s such a light on God’s sovereignty of election through grace and that is the story of 2 Samuel chapter 9. An amazing metaphor of unconditional love and divine mercy in God’s redemptive plan for His chosen, “Out of my mouth proceeds shame” Is the name of a young man that we seldom remember to talk about. The picture portrayed in 2nd Samuel chapter 9 is the picture of God’s unfathomable mercy on mankind through redemption. This beautiful picture of God’s unconditional charity for the sinner is a huge declaration of His love for you and me. The story of David’s care and provision ...Read More...

Prayer and Fasting – What the Bible Says

11

The Old Testament law specifically required prayer and fasting for only one occasion, which was the Day of Atonement. This custom became known as “the day of fasting” (Jeremiah 36:6) or “the Fast” (Acts 27:9). Moses fasted during the 40 days and 40 nights he was on Mount Sinai receiving the law from God (Exodus 34:28). King Jehoshaphat called for a fast in all Israel when they were about to be attacked by the Moabites and Ammonites (2 Chronicles 20:3). In response to Jonah’s preaching, the men of Nineveh fasted and put on sackcloth (Jonah 3:5). Prayer and fasting was often done in times of distress or trouble. David fasted when he learned that Saul and ...Read More...

Boldness in the Day of Judgment

12

One of the most inescapable facts of our faith is the reality of the Judgment day. As the people of God who are saved through faith in The Lord Jesus Christ we need to understand that there is a final day of judgment. In that day we can face a true and a righteous Judge to whom we must all give account the Bible says. This reality should never escape us, no matter who we are and where we live. But it is also truth that we have a great assurance that can give us boldness to stand before this heavenly Judge one day. Many of us know that this world is soon to be standing in a universal judgment, because of its wickedness, and the greatest of all lawlessness is the refusal to believe in ...Read More...

In pursuit of the Hope Of our Salvation

From the fall of Adam mankind has been left with a nature that embodies sin. This nature is manifesting its total depravity in the absence of God’s perfect righteousness. Therefore being in Adam every one of us is fully partaker of this lower nature called the flesh. This is the general state of all men, in the sight of the holiness of God which is called total depravity. An existence in complete opposition of God’s intended Holiness, which was to bring Him honor and glory through continual communion with His eternal abode of righteousness. This state of depravity brought an end or death to the desired fellowship of men and God, leaving men in a destitute state of eternal ...Read More...

Caught by His unfathomable grace

12

The most profound beauty of an awesome God is to tap into His majestic love for His creation in an unfathomable grace through His foreknowledged act of election through grace. In the entire story of 1 Samuel chapter 9 and 10 we can be profoundly  amazed on His methods of calling His elect to Himself. Men going on their own way of their daily lives in obedience of their earthly tasks are suddenly brought to their eternal destiny with God. In this heart moving story of predestined election through grace we are reassured of God’s plan of election according to grace. Caught by His grace is an amazing story of courage in these difficult times of stormy seasons of testing of our faith. ...Read More...

Making friends with our opponent at law Is the key to our future Blessing

12_1

In the search for the scriptures I was once again astound on the American Standard version of the 25th verse of Matthew chapter 5. It was as though a light would shine through a dark room. This translation says it in this way… “Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, so your opponent may not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer and you be thrown into prison.” The word opponent or adversary and it’s connection with the law really amazed me. This was a fresh reminder to me of how the spiritual laws of the heavenly kingdom is still at force here on earth for the sons of the kingdom. We as men are many times ignorant of ...Read More...

While the Faithful Will Reign, the Compromising Will Perish in Shame

122

As I was praying and seeking the Lord’s face a scripture kept on magnifying itself in my mind. The faithful of the Lord will go on to be noticed by Him for true promotion in Him. While the festive celebration of The Purim is approaching all the Jews in the world are reminded of God’s faithfulness towards them in His everlasting covenant of promise to them. Having said all this one man came to me who’s undivided devotion to his God brought redemption to the whole nation of the Jews and this man was no one else but Mordecai the Jew. In this amazing story of redemptive grace I am totally fascinated by this one man named Mordecai In the chapter 3 of the book of Esther verses ...Read More...
