We are gathered for appropriation of our appreciation of incarnation of The Light, Which brings revelation to the Gentiles like us, and in recognition of Him who is the Glory of His people Israel. It is amazing that many of us are yet to be enlightened by the revelation of our understanding of Christ’s incarnation and its purposes in our devotion to Him. Perils of Mental Assent or worshiping our molded mental image.

Mental assent can be one of the greatest enemies of a life of faith, instead of the true Biblical faith. What is mental assent? Mental assent is a subtle form of self-deception, just one step removed from hypocrisy. In Mat. 19:20, a young man said to Jesus, “All these things have I kept from my youth up: then tell me what do I lack?” He was claiming to have real Bible faith, but the truth was that he had mental assent, instead of real faith. The way that he reacted to Jesus’ reply proves it. What is the Biblical meaning and the essence of the word righteousness. Righteousness is a standard of goodness and acceptability to be justified or be found not guilty at any judgment seat. To be equated from guilt or punishment for wrong doing. To be considered righteous is to stand above in being found guilty from wrong doing. Righteousness is one of the greatest attributes of God. This word has been mentioned more than five hundred times in the Hebrew Scriptures. The scriptures we are to expand upon is from Isaiah the 36th and 37th chapters. A story that was also mentioned in 2 Kings the 18th and 19th chapter. This dual expression of the same event in the Old Covenant is nothing but bringing the truth into light from two different aspects. First I believe from the kingly prospective and showing King Hezekiah’s response and secondly the prophetic side of the same event from the lips of prophet Isaiah. However in both cases the story is resting upon the same principal of an intense  spiritual warfare and the power of prayer and discernment. Here I am convinced that if we truly are walking in a genuine rebirth from above this message of Pilgrimage will strengthen us to carry on in the midst of all that is happening around us. Even it will part grace to win the spiritual war within us.
