Isaiah’s revelation of The Reign of Jesse’s Offspring

sermon1

The prophet Isaiah through the inspiration of the Lord had prophesied about the coming reign of the righteousness of Christ and in it all he saw through inspiration the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit that was going to rest on Christ in His baptism. Isaiah 11:1-5 speaks of these incredible gifts that was to be imparted on Christ upon fully being baptized from heaven in attributes or gifts of the Holy Spirit. Therefore in His humanness the Lord Jesus our Messiah was the partakers of all these gifts and the final one is the awesome imparkation of gift of the Fear of the Lord. In this passage we read how the Spirit of the Lord will rest upon Him and the gifts are imparted to Him for the ...Read More...

Fruit of Righteousness is sown in peace

Sunday Nov. 16, 2003 Sermon Fruit of Righteousness is sown in peace (James 3:18) 2 Samuel 12:1-23 Many of us need to learn about God’s true love for us and the word Grace Need’s to be fully explained in our hearts. Our minds understand almost all the spoken truth, but unless it goes through the veil of our hearts and are revealed there it would not be producing the kind of fruit that would bring lasting results. This requires several things amongst, which is words spoken in love, even in times when our intellect dictates otherwise. Even in the Old Testament era God’s genuine prophet’s used grace and extreme love in bringing God’s truth to the Old Testament saints. I ...Read More...

His Priestly community

November 9, 2003 To The Church of Nazarene in Tujunga King David’s priestly preparation As we learn through the Old Testament scripture King David was the only king who held three offices at once. He held all the three offices of a King, office of a Prophet and greatest of all the office of a genuine priest. That is why our Lord and Savior Jesus The Christ is also called Son of David. According to the Old Testament priestly ordinances the priest should have come from the family of the Kohamin or the Levitical line. Though this seems to come through bloodline by inheritance, and through election, but it required much preparation and years of radical obedience, and after the era of ...Read More...

The Mystery of The crucifixion

Sunday Nov. 2, 2003 Matthew 27:38-44 “ For I will declare my iniquity; I will be in anguish over my sin.” (Psalm 38:18) Luke 23:32 -34, 39-43 Paul finally expresses his desire to stand with Christ in the same sentence of death (By expressing his anguish over his own sin and accomplishments of his righteousness that was of the Law and of the flesh in pursuit of God’s own righteousness apart from his own through death and his own trials of crucifying of his own fleshly desires. (Phil. 3:10) Our Call as His Chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation is this, that Apostle Peter says In 1 Peter 2:19-25 ...Read More...

Gospel of the Kingdom preached as witness to all nations

(Matthew 24:3-14) Sunday October 26,2003 In this passage of the scripture many vital information is written to the believers of the last days including the Gospel of the kingdom being preached as a witness. The word witness is worthy of all our attention. These are genuine warnings to the disciples, which are the member’s of the lord’s true Body The Church (The New Testament Remnant or the Bride, which includes all true believers after the His resurrection). Three words are very important and worthy of our serious meditation. First one is the word Christ or the anointed one in verse 5 and secondly the word to endure in the verse 13 and third the word witness in verse 14. ...Read More...

Grace to Hear God

Tuesday Oct. 21, 2003 It really is a grace to be able to hear God when He speaks. Many of us are yet to learn and to distinguish between His voice, the enemies voice and our own. In the past we talk about the word Shema, which means to hear with your heart. But now let us examine the Old and the New Testament scriptures for this important truth in our lives. In the Old Testament no one was able to enter the Promised Land except the one’s that only heard God’s voice speaking through His prophet Moses. The ones who did not enter the land of promise these were the so-called follower’s of men or the ones who would not hear God speaking through a genuine leader. ( Number’s ...Read More...

Marriage an eternal great mystery

(Eph.5: 22-33) October 19, 2003 Marriage is a heavenly ordained institution designed by God Himself planed from the foundations of this earth. Paul speaks of this eternal truth in His different epistles, but only in his letter to the Ephesians’ Church he exposes it as a great mystery, concerning Christ and the Church. God’s heart is expressed about the true marriage through Prophet Hosea’s story chapter one and two, and in the chapter two starting verses 14 –23, which again is the story of the woman caught in adulatory in John 8:1-12. Perfect marriage is when two imperfect people through suffering and forgiveness save their holy union in marriage in an imperfect ...Read More...

Holy Desperation

Tuesday September 30th 2003 Sermon A holy state of desperation is the perfect atmosphere for God’s miracle working power to be manifested in the believer’s life. Job was a man who was reduced to this position to personally experience God’s miracle working power in his life. ( Job 6:26-27) 1 Samuel 1:1-28 When we cry for more of God he is faithful to increase our need for Him by making us desperate for Him. When God makes us desperate for Him, all the rules change. Our life is totally out of control. We have radically different values; we don’t care what others think of us; we become extremely focused on our goal; relationships take a secondary role to our one pursuit; we ...Read More...

True Christianity is discipleship

Sunday August 30. 2003 Sermon Luke 9:57-62 The most important aspect of true Christianity is discipleship. Some think to make disciples are what we are called to, especially the eldership of the New Testament Church, which in itself is true. However we need to be a disciple first before we can make any one a true disciple. Though I believe true discipleship can and will require a heavy cost, yet is the only way to fulfill our call to allow the author and the finisher of our faith. An ongoing abandonment of self by daily repentance through confession and forsaking of our sins will provide us the sustaining grace we need to accomplish the call for true discipleship. The Three ...Read More...
